Hey Strava, thank you for creating this community.

There's so many athletes that also perform martial arts it'd be nice to be able to track those activities as part of Strava. From Kung Fu, Jujitsu, Taekwondo, Karate, MMA to Tai Chi and Qi Gong, there's so many sub types that could also be added under the type of sports (like what you did with Run - Race, Long Run, Workout).

It'd be real nice!

Not having a general martial arts activity ...

It's crazy and almost an insult to the face of millions of practicioners of the following disciplines :

Box kickboxing karate judo aikido MMA thai boxing sambo savate jjb kung-fu

To name a few

I still can't believe Martial Arts is not an option! I understand you cannot add every type as there are loads but just having a single Martial Arts option can't be that hard to add.

Please give us Martial Arts as an option Strava.

Add Judo to the list too, even though it's challenging measuring heart rate, it could be done with an arm strap on the inside of the upper arm (I just ordered a Polar Verity Sense after reading recommendation on forums to test for myself if it won't be in the way and remain in position)

At least launching at 1st. only one option as MARTIAL ART, and the later scanning the labels and counting the quantity of each type of martial art recorded in a histogram of all users, could be an option to later on launch the subgroups, such as judo, karate, aikido, jiu-jitsu, capoeira, taekwondo, box, etc., would be a plan for a kick start, aterwards for athletes of multi sport (cycling, running and martial art), these activities would count on STATS, like Fitness Score, Monthly training time, etc.

Yes. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu blue belt here. I work out 4 times a week. Probably on of the best physical and mental exercises you can do. Please add it to the list of workout types.

American Kenpo user here. Garmin has a "Mixed Martial Arts" type with a great icon too! Would love to see that in Strava. Just "Cardio" feels a bit disappointing.

Since when Garmin has a MMA? I cannot see it on Fenix 6 Pro.

You are right, it's not available on your watch. You can change it by using the app after your training. I also wanted it highlighted on my watch. Hope they change that!

I second that. Hope Garmin changes this.

They have the option for table tennis for crying out loud.  But not martial arts.
