Is there already a way to specify if you ride a Light eMTB or a regular eMTB?

It makes quite a difference if you climb a hill with 90Nm of support or with only 55Nm.

Would it make sense after all to have separate categories for them?

I agree that this is a problem.  Leaderboards are useless unless there is a basic standard.  Lately there has been an increase in two new types of "ebikes".  Commercially sold high power ebikes, sometimes with up to 8000 watt motors sold as as "off-road only" and diy ebikes with untold top-end power. I know of a couple in my area with 3000W motors.  It is frustrating to see, hard to prove, and too much work to report them.  I think the ebike category should be clearly noted/restricted to be only for street legal ebikes.  In Canada that is 500W.  If it helps keep illegal bikes out, you could create a high (illegal) power category for unlimited power.

Currently all ebike seem to be linked, emtb's and road E bikes and there definitly needs to be seperate segments for them as both have different levels of assist. In my opiion an ebike segmant record should be selectable on the amount of assist it gives , that way if you customise your ebike settings and ride on lower assist levels it ties to leaderboards for that level of power assist so everyone is recording corrcetly for the level of assist.
