When reversing a route Strava recalculates the route to what it thinks is the best route. It should be possible to reverse the route with no recalculation. Simply keep it 100% the same as the original route just reversing it. Could be solved with a toggle box «Do not recalculate the route. Keep as is, just reverse the route». By default Strava can recalculate, if toggled however it would not.

When creating a route I'd like a checkbox for "This route is out and back" so the return back portion is automatically created, returning via the same route taken out.

We really need this. We have a race that the direction changes each year, and the route is eactly the same. Strava changes it when we try reverse

The route planner currently reroutes due to one way streets, this would still be needed.  What I find irritating about the route planner is where a manual point has been included that is ignored when the route is reversed.

Hi, I've downloaded an 855.85 mile GPX route to Strava. That's worked. The problem is it goes anti clockwise and I want it to clockwise. When I reverse the route it changes in a certain area, shortening it slightly and I'm unable manually make the correct distance. Does anyone know what's going on?

Dear Strava Team,

Can you please add a feature for a simple out and back route instead of Strava optimizations. In real life there are "n" number of reasons why we would like to do a Out and back route. Ex: Distance, Water stops, Aid, Exit routes, Pick ups. However mapping a Out and back for a trail route is for a long route with many options is so arduos currently. I believe Map my run has it from many years. This will help us plot a difficult long route slowly and painstakingly and if we have a button for OnB (Out and Back) we can click on the OnB icon else strava can optimise.

Please kindly consider the option.

Thanks with regards

Please make this change. I just reversed a route and Strava 'optimized' by adding a chunk of additional climbing up and down a couple of paths that are much more difficult terrain than the original.

Looking at another example where reversing direction changes a long trail from 173km and 2863m of climbing to 196km and 2543m.

Automatic routing is great, but sometimes you just want to follow a well-known/marked route but do it in the opposite direction.
