Allow more than one of same component

I can only add one of each component type. I rotate through sets of waxed chains. It is not possible to track since I can only add one chain per bike. This is related to other feature requests.

- swap wheelset 

this is a more general request to not restrict the number of the same component type that can be added.

Hey @liutang we really appreciate you checking the existing ideas and mentioning them in yours. Your idea is more general and applicable to multiple things that have been suggested, we have reviewed it and it is now open to voting.

Need the ability to add  custom Gear to Mountain bike, for example a second wheelset..

Or a second shock or second fork for example..

This would be so beneficial. There is no really good app out there to do it. And if so, they would pull data from Strava anyway..

I guess this would be not hard to implement and so nice. Currently I track it with a note on my iPhone manually..

would also be good if the equipment section would be accessible via the app. Currently it’s just on Bike level there..

I did find two apps that are specific for bike maintenance. Like you said, they do pull from Strava activities data. They work pretty well and I've been using them to maintain my personal fleet of bikes.

Interesting! Which ones? Why 2 apps? They also offer multiple chains per bike?

There are two apps that do similar things. I tried both and settled on one. I'm not using both. I'm not sure if it goes against forum rules to post them on here. Just search for "bike maintenance tracker ios" and you'll see them.

I found PBG which costs 3,99€ and MT which is free..

MT. PBG is good too! I tried both. Both will do the same thing, but they do it slightly differently. It really depends on what works for you.

Nice thanks! Already tried the MT.. but somehow it’s not working correctly.. I set up 2 chains for one bike… how could I turn on, the other off, then change ist again and so on?

So far, you've created a bike and created two components (chain 1 and chain 2). Go to Bike, and under components, click the + button to add chain 1 to the bike. Enter start date under (From) and enabled synchronize all activities. This will set you up to track chain 1. Chain 2 will show as unused. When you get ready to swap chains. Go back to components set up under you bike and add an end date (To) to chain 1. This is telling MT that you stopped using chain 1. Chain 1 will now show as unused. Now, go back to bikes -> components and click the + button again and this time select chain 2 and enter a start date. This tells MT that you've started using chain 2 on your bike.

Thanks! And when you wax and swap again, you enter the end date to chain 2 and start chain 1 again?
