Many running segments’ leaderboards are plagued with activities done by inline skaters, scooter riders and similar. At the same time, those activities often have an easily identifiable cadence pattern, and you can immediately say that such activity was not a run (fast consistent pace x low & inconsistent cadence).
Currently, the only way to get rid of these entries on the leaderboard is to flag them manually. It would be much better if an automated check was implemented - ideally both for currently uploaded activities (an athlete attempting to save such record as a “Run” is notified that they’re using a wrong activity type), as well as for historical records (option to trigger an auto-check for a specific segment and flag non-compliant activities).
This would help to clean up the segments leaderboards tremendously, making the competition more fair & fun.
