As segment leaderboards get ultra-competitive with Pros, KOM-hunting, and general Strava popularity, the public leaderboards begin to lack significance for friendly competition amongst friends & club members. The thrill of earning that KOM or LL status (and the motivation to improve when you get that dreaded email saying the segment has been nabbed) feels almost more relevant to compete against the groups of people you know. Adding the crown or wreath  icons to the Following or Club subscriber that holds the title and either a notification or email would be a huge user experience boost for those that rarely (or likely never) see a segment achievement in their activities.

Would be a good deterrent for people that join hundreds of clubs around the world. They would get thousands of club KOM notifications for every activity.

Hello and thank you for your post.

Your idea has been shared with the product team. Right now, we aren't exploring the possibility of adding/implementing this feature, and your suggestion will be archived. Please understand that we  receive a very high volume of feature requests, and cannot realistically implement all of them in the foreseeable future.

If you haven't already, I would encourage you to check out our segment leaderboard filters which allow you to filter and view leaderboards based on a number of different attributes.

Thank you for taking the time to submit your idea and we look forward to your continued engagement in the Community Hub.
