It's 2022 and most apps have Dark Mode nowadays. It might be a bit weird to use Strava when not working out... But looking at the segments the night before to plan out the next run is a thing. Please make us literally lose less sleep when doing this, or when recording an activity in the evening.

This has consistently been the top request on reddit.com/r/strava

@Jane - Thanks for the update, however, I'll believe it when I see it.  Until then, I will not renew my subscription.

I love that Strava still figured out a way to give us a final middle finger before releasing this 😂

Why not let subscribers also test this out instead of granting exclusive access to influencers? See my earlier comment regarding Strava and influencers, feel like this is only strengthening what I mentioned lol

What are they testing by flipping the switch from light to dark mode?

I'm in the same camp as @BlacktopRacing .........I'm overjoyed that Strava has announced that dark-mode is in the pipeline, I'm puzzled that it won't be available in beta to anyone except "in-person" testers or something to that effect, so ...........yes, I'll believe it when I see it. My subscription lapsed a few days ago, and I look forward to renewing it when dark-mode materialises someday.

How is this not a thing?

FWIW, you can force Dark Mode in Strava by enabling 'Force Dark Mode in Apps that Allow it' within your phone's Theme Settings (if you have Android 😉).

Tried that force technique (have to enable dev mode first), but didn't make any difference for me. (Samsung One UI 6 on Android 14)

Yep, doesn't work for me either. Android 14 on a Realme.

Does anyone know when Strava added the 'We're working on it' label to this? Trying to work out just how imminent it is...

Timeline of dark mode arrival is....... "later this summer" apparently. And I'd hope that it's the northern hemisphere summer 🙂

In the meantime, since I let my Strava subscription lapse until the arrival of dark-mode, I can report that the endless reminders to upgrade to subscription are even more tiresome and irritating than the glaring white screen. In a nutshell, the entire non-subscription user experience is pretty darned miserable. So now I'm simply spending less time on Strava, and more time running 😉

Dude, when does this get released lol. How much testing by influencers is required before paying subscribers are allowed to use this?? My eyes burning tonight

It is here! Finally! Will take some getting used to but I am looking forward to the next night ride where I can see without the irritation!

Woohoo.

Yeah just noticed they finally delivered. It looks pretty good to me so far. Thanks Strava, but it's pretty funny that it took this long...

Where are you guys finding dark mode?  Its not on Android yet, as far as I can tell.

Yeepee, thanks, Strava.

Dark mode is here. And thanks for the posts.@simon_,@nhoover

I launched my Strava App to see a dark screen; I have never felt so excited at what steered back at me.

Well done, team; thanks, Strava and kudos to this community hub for keeping this request on the front burner.

Hello and thank you all for your votes and comments.  You can now enable Dark Mode in the Strava App:

Select You from the bottom navigation menu on the app. From the You tab, tap on the Settings icon at the top of your screen. Under the Preferences section, select Appearance. There, you can choose from one of three options:

  • Phone default: If your phone settings are already set to dark mode, the Strava app will automatically default to dark mode.
  • Light Mode: This setting will override your phone’s settings and change the app to light mode.
  • Dark Mode: This setting will override your phone's settings and enable dark mode.
