Easy change of start finish on a round route

I often find interesting routes I like to take over, but it is almost impossible to easily change the start and finish of a round route. It would be very useful if you could just move the start/finish on an existing route.

This might work as a work around: 

1. Move the finish to where you want it and ignore the straight line created by the map editor 
2. Move the start to where you want it (ignore any straight lines created by the map editor) 
3. Open your way points list. Now, the way points between your new start position and waypoint #1 should be reordered (in the correct order) to the beginning of the list. 
4. Drag these waypoints one by one in the correct order to the beginning of you way point list. 

To verify that you have done this correctly, note the distance and height before changing and compare after your changes.
