As the title.  Of all the stats that Strava offers, it's only the elevation gain one that really appeals to me.  It'd be very useful to have a scoring system for every ride based on a ratio of elevation gain to distance, for comparison with my own rides and others, and it may quieten down a few people who rave on about their average speed but don't do much hill work.

I like this idea and it seems like it would be easy to implement by displaying feet of elevation gain per mile along with all the other basic ride stats.

I find elevation ratio to be one of the stats most indicative of effort in many sports, including walking/hiking. I use a third-party app to calculate and add this to my activities, but having it displayed directly in your stats summary would be a lot better.
