Have a time filter on the Global Heat Map data

I find it useful to be able to see the Heat Map data on the Route Building page, especially when considering rides in areas I am not so familiar with.  However, I was recently caught out in an area where the Heat Map data suggested many cyclists had passed but the path is now blocked by a fence (that looks to be several months old).  I understand the global Heat Map uses "all time" data - it would be useful to be able to filter this to show, say, data for the last 6 months, to help get a better idea of where I can feasibly ride.

I live in an area where during winter, people ride fatbikes on the snow. During the summer these trails are not ridable and go through swamps. Being able to filter by months would be a great way to exclude winter trails.
