Need the ability to handle multiple identical or similar club events

Clubs need the ability to take a past event and clone it with new or updated information.  The clone should not show up on the event list until edit updates are complete and the event is saved.   Another variation would be the ability to mark an event "draft" visible only to administrators and the author as a way to clone an event but hold the posting until completion.
