Promoting Upcoming Club Events via Website Widget

Our bike club uses Club Events to share information about our public group rides, and we're looking for ways to promote these Strava Club Events to the local community (which may or may not use Strava). To accomplish this, we thought of two ways to increase the visibility of our Strava Club events:

1) Website widget (similar to the Activity widget but for Club Events with dates, etc)

Moderator's Edit: the following idea already exists and can be voted on here.

2) Strava Club Events sync with a Public Google Calendar (integration via API or IFTTT)

Both of these options would use the Strava Club Event data as the primary source, and would likely encourage non-Strava users to sign up since they can get extra features such as notifications for new Club Events, changes to Club Events, route info, other riders planning to attend and so on.

Strava Club Events offer the potential to help organize local group rides which in turn will help build the local cycling community! Thanks for your consideration.
