I would love to be able to add different distances to Best Efforts, so that as my running improves I can compare the distance I am currently at.  Would be great to see 5 miles, 7 miles etc rather than just 5K, 10K.

I know that you can add official PRs, but what I was thinking about is an extension of the current automatic best efforts.

For example, when I participate in a 24 hour race, I can see if the time for the marathon distance or for 50k has improved.

I would like to see the times for 50 miles, 100k, etc.

Great idea - was literally going to suggest the same for the growing number of Ultra runners out there…

I personally don't feel custom distances are that important. If all that Strava did was add best efforts for "round" ultra distances that are already benchmarks in the ultra-endurance running and cycling communities (50 miles/ 100kms/ 100 miles for runners, 200/ 400/ 600/ 1000/ 1200 kms for cyclists) I would be satisfied. I don't think it's as big a deal to be able to have custom PRs for my 7 and 3/4 kilometer (or whatever arbitrary distance) runs. My time in the 7750 meter run may only be meaningful to me, but there are these other more standard distances that are meaningful to entire communities of ultra-distance athletes.

I agree completely with AJH

I know we can enter PR´s for more distances, but you won't receive a notification when you beat old times like you do in best efforts. I can't see why we can't get more or customisable times here. 3000m is for example a very normal distance to track.
