This is not a post for asking for help, but rather to vent my frustration about Strava's lack about basic features:- Why are there no turn-by-turn directions for a pre-planned route either with audio cues or some sort of display on my smartwatch? Or even better: Why not both?-Why does the app on my smartwatch not work in unison with the app on the phone? Meaning, if I start a workout on my phone, why isn't the same workout simultaneously displayed on my smartwatch?- Which brings me to my next point: Why are there no cues for entering and leaving a certain puls zone?-Why is there not a save button at the bottom of the editing page after you finish your workout? You always run the risk of deleting your workout because of it.-Why can't you upload non-GPS workouts from other apps to Strava?-Why can't you turn off GPS for certain activities? For example: It doesn't make sense to have GPS turned on during swimming in a pool since GPS is by far not

When Wahoo system uploads a ride to Strava, Strava should upload it as a virtual ride by default.Strava already auto detects different types of ride based on Garmin ride profiles (gravel, MTB, road, etc), why not just do the same logic for everything from Wahoo System, RGT, Zwift etc.

All my previous entries and friends are gone after the update. I am continually promoted to start a payed subscription. Is this a pay app now?

I uploaded my last 2 activities on my suunto app, but I'm waiting for 5 hours and they are still not uploaded/synced on Strava. Perfect on Suunto app, nothing on Strava.This is the first time that something like this happens.What should I do?Thanks in advance.

Any tabs that could show you gear and mileage on them. Always takes way to long to get too and track

  Is there a way to transfer heart rate data to another activity recorded at the same time but with a different device?The activity with heart rate misses the key segment of my ride, which the other recording has, but that one misses the heart rates.

The Strava app on my Wear OS based Ticwatch Pro 5 is suffering from accuracy problems, mainly related to GPS drift. I'm finishing runs with 20% more distance than what is actually correct. This issue does not occur when using the default "TicExercise" app or the "Gear Tracker II" app under the same conditions (same trail, sky access, etc.). I can see the problem during the run and after uploading.

My gps tracking disconnects from phone during hike unless tracking screen is always on. This started happening recently.

One problem with the global heatmap is that it does not tell, for a popular route, if one direction is much more popular than the opposite direction. E.g. some MTB routes are only rideable downwards, some others are boring downwards but popular upwards.Would it be possible to colorize each pixel according to the most popular direction? E.g. white when no direction is more popular than the others, red if north is more popular, blue if west is more popular… Or maybe a filter to only show the intensity of circulation going north, etc.Thanks!

Hi, I have a long standing problem which I've tweeted Strava support about but had nothing back.  I have Apple Watch Series 6, latest watch OS, iOS installed.  When I start an outdoor run on the watch's strava app, the heartrate recorded starts very high (circa 170bpm) before normalising back down to my proper heart rate after approx. 5 minutes.  My resting heart rate is 45bpm and around 60bpm when I'm walking around, so I know that a starting heart rate of 170bpm isn't real! (When the watch has normalised my max. is 140 bpm or thereabouts).  Interestingly this only happens on Outdoor Runs, if I do an Outdoor ride or another activity, the heart rate is fine throughout.  Has anyone else had this problem?

I've recently noticed that the calories burned are not shown in Strava (as it used to be few weeks ago) and this figure has been  replaced by Avg Power.I am using a Garmin Fenix 7 and had entered the weight etc..The Garmin Connect App shows the figure.  Any one can help?Thanks!

Hi. Im a member of one of the clubs on Strava. Unfortunately my today's activitie wasn't calculated in statistics in club from this week. The activitie has been show in the "Activities" of all members of the club, but has not been show in the summary on "Stats". I've read all the articles and posts that could help me to solve this situation but non of them helped. And ideas what's wrong with that? I was at the first place last week in the club, so it is important for me that my results would be calculated correct.

On my app, it used to show me calories burnt, now it shows co2 saved, how can I get calories burnt back on the app, I have to go into the web portal to see what I did? 

Every time I try and comment on other peoples activities I get the message 'Strava has encountered an error. Please contact support' This started happening yesterday evening. I'm recieving comments so I know it isn't a Strava wide issue. Any help would be appreciated!  

Does anyone know why my Strava keeps unfollowing athletes without me unfollowing them - very frustrating 

I've observed in many instance where my average speed for an activity in "Overview" view is different from the average speed shown in "Analysis" view. For example, this activity has average speed 18.8 when viewed in Overview, but shows 19.1 when viewed in Analysis (without any time window truncation). I think the 18.8 (overview) is correct but I'm interested to understand how these two numbers are calculated and where the discrepancy comes from. Should the calculations be standardized?

Hi! This is happening on my Android Phone. No new Android updates since yesterday and I haven't I have changed anything on the app since yesterday. This morning the home activity feed history on the app has shortened drastically. I can only view back about a day or so in thr feed. I drop in every now and then to give cudos to friends, now I'm finding I'm missing things. I can go to my personal feed and see all my activities, but nothing on the main feed. Please help. 

I wanted to add a default sport to an existing bike. However, the save button was greyed out, making it impossible to save the changes. The UI didn't display any reason for why saving was not possible. After testing a bit, it turned out it was because the weight was invalid (1 kg) (When I first created the bike, 1 kg was accepted). When you try to save, it should for example jump to the invalid weight field and clearly say why its not valid.

My run activity is not showing on my iPhone but my walking activity and golf activity is??? How can I solve this? Thanks 

Hi, I recently changed to a Giant Dash M200 GPS unit for my Embt, and all was well for the first ride. Data uploaded to the Stages cycling app and came across to Strava. However, subsequent rides have produced incorrect data uploads to Strava. All good on the M200 and in the Stages app, but upload to Strava from Stages and my data is skewed beyond belief. Distance and map are OK, but speeds and time are out of this world, e.g. max speed today was 443Km/hr and my 40km ride only took 5 minutes! I know I'm on an Embt but that's crazy. Anybody experiencing the same thing or got any ideas on how to correct this?

Is there any way Strava can prevent double posting.  People have so many options for updates to their rides.  Phones, watches, GPS devices.    People use two or more on one ride and get double or triple the correct distance.  Also is unfair for Local Legend segments. 

I see multiple posts about the same but no fix. In strava you click samsung, it tells you how to add strava in samsung app which works but you never see the app in apps section settings in strava  

When I am on my phone (android) I would like to change the types of activities it uses. For example it shows walking as well as cycling, which is annoying, because I am on a bike and as a result sometimes end up in places that are only for walking. Can I change this in the mobile app, like I can on the website? I can do it for my personal heatmaps, but not for the global one...

Today I havent been able to access Strava on my Iphone 12.  Get the message "Something went went wrong - try again"  I deleted the app and reionstaled but no difference.  Anyone else having this issue?
