Driving Directions on Strava is broken?

You misunderstood something, the driving directions are meant from your current location to the start of the route and not from the start to the end of the route. For the route itself there aren’t any turn by turn instructions available in Strava, for that you have to use other services like Komoot.

That’s a pity. Would be so much more helpful if there is a feature for turn-by-turn instructions for the route itself. It is such a pain to navigate a complex route purely based on the Strava map.
