As many runners, I own multiple pairs of shoes and rotate through them regularly between runs. I find it annoyingly cumbersome to edit my shoe selection after each run. The process involves 9 steps:Tapping on the run title to view run details Tapping on the […] for the options menu Tapping on “Edit Activity” Scrolling down to see default shoe selection Tapping on the default shoe to reveal the shoe selection menu Scrolling down to my desired shoe (I have listed many shoes, so I can’t see some of them without scrolling) Tapping on the desired shoe choice  Tapping on “Edit Activity” Tapping out of the individual activity back to the feed. Can we have a simple shortcut for shoe selection edits, please? Adding media, cropping an activity and other edit options that I rarely use seem to be far simpler operations than selecting a shoe, which I do after nearly every run. 

A sport type such as bleep test should be recorded which can track improvement in bleep test scoring. A bleep test is more than just a run.

Hi all,I’ve been developing an app with the Strava API like many of you and have run into a novel issue as of yesterday. Oauth is complete, GET, POST, and PUT requests were working, but during some debugging yesterday I got: Error:Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'address').I originally ran into this issue in my IDE and decided to try to reach the Strava API directly, same issue, so was not the program. Any GET request returns this and it’s likely not a token issue as that would just return a normal auth error in the past (as recent as yesterday just before this new error started). Originally the error popped up for GET activity, but now even sending a GET to retrieve a new access token returns this error. It looks like this error is returned while trying to read some undefined object property address (likely either athlete or activity?). Has there been any changes to the API recently, like within the past few days?I’m hesitant to say it’s on the API

Hi everyone,I’m working on a website that integrates with the Strava API to display user activity data such as recent rides, runs, distances, and timestamps. The integration generally works, but I’ve started running into issues where the data returned by the API is either incomplete or delayed compared to what users see directly on their Strava accounts.In particular, newly uploaded activities don’t always appear on my website immediately, even though the access token is valid and the API request completes successfully. In some cases, older activities load correctly while the most recent one is missing, or certain fields (like elapsed time or elevation data) come back as null or outdated. I just think it would be nice to have an option for a moving average style pace chart instead of the spikes graph. That is all. (In the native app btw. I’ve seen third parties do amazing implementations of the API)

I’d love the ability to define “Home” and “Work” location pairs, and have Strava automatically tag an activity as a Commute when it starts in one zone and ends in the other.Ideally, these locations would be set up similarly to Privacy Zones—using circular areas rather than exact addresses.Tracking commutes is fun and genuinely useful (weekly totals, trends, motivation), and this data would be a great addition to Year in Sport / Wrapped- for example, total commute miles, days commuted, or CO2 saved.Apologies if this is a duplicate topic; I searched, but other threads were dead ends/had broken links.As a related but separate idea, it’d be great to have an option to automatically combine “to work” and “from work” commute pairs into a single activity (or at least show them as one in the feed), so I don’t feel like I’m flooding my friends’ feeds.

I unsynced my Apple Watch from Strava in the manage devices section but it’s still connecting onto Strava. I’ve already removed app an reloaded.

Strava imports workouts recorded via the Apple Watch Workout app (e.g., runs), but does not import strength workouts created in a 3rd-party app (SmartGym).Those workouts do exist in Apple Health, so I don’t understand why they’re not being imported. In fact, when I signed up, it did import historic workouts from that app, now it’s just not importing new workouts. What I’ve checked:  Workouts are visible in Apple Health (duration, calories, HR present), see images SmartGym has permission to write workouts Strava has permission to read workouts Apple Health connection reauthorized Tested across multiple workouts/days Apple Health sharing: Enabled both directions Deleted and reinstalled Strava and Strave Apple Watch app   Any help/ advice? If this

There seems to be a long running history for this request!  As a club leader I have to own all of the routes that we use for club rides. These routes are repeated year-in-year-out and are part of club culture. As our leadership evolves, anchoring these to people will become problemtic because those routes will dissapear. I would like to be able to anchor routes to the club so that they persist with our members & remain available to folks as club members evolve.  

We already have the 3D layer in maps/route creator, but it’s not that useful in areas that have relatively minor elevation differences. It doesn’t give a realistic view of how hilly an area is. For example, parts of South London are relativey hilly, but not on a mountainous scale; a 100m elevaton gain looks minor on the 3D layer, but in reality a 100m hill would be quite a challenge in real life. Therefore I propose a topographic layer option, perhaps similar to what is used here: topographic-map.com Indeed, I often have this website open in another tab when planning a route, because the options on Strava aren’t as good.

I would like to start a club with long distance challenges with no time limit. For example a Virtual Walk from London to Paris (344km). So when you have walked 344km you have completed the challenge.Is there anyway to do this?

 Hello, I have been using Strava on my Apple watch series 9 without any issue for about 6 months. Last saturday when I sent for run, I noticed that Strava app on my apple watch not recoding heart rate, I tried everything i.e. resetting watch/iphone. Deleteing strava app from watch/iphone and reinstalling. But nothing seems to help. I tried Workout app on my watch and it recorded hear rate. I checked all permission in Health app on Iphone and it has Allow Strava to Read heart rate ON. I checked the strava app on iphone and it has health app added, Everything worked fine before Saturday Not sure what suddenly happened? Can this be resolved as my running depends on it massivly. I tried Apple’s Workout app but I didnt like the app.Let me know if anyone needs any sort of logs to troubleshoot, will be happy to help

If I start a mountain bike ride on my Apple Watch Ultra is there a way for my iPhone to show my activity in real time?

I’m quietly going insane with the app. I’m really not interested in anyone’s 2 km stroll to the store or their umpteenth 45 minutes sweat fest on Zwift at a completely unrealistic speed.Allow me to just see the activities that I care to see and give kudos to.It can’t be that difficult to make a filter, after all there are simple extensions for both Chrome and Firefox that does exactly that. This has been asked a gazillion times by other athletes.

I can't figure out why only some of my bike rides show up in strava, while strength training and walking seem to always show up.  All being recorded on Apple Watch and Fitness

Nordic Skiing consists of multiple different disciplines just like Running and Cycling do.  As a minimum we should be able to choose Classic or Freestyle (skate) since there is a 10% to 20% difference is possible speed, different skis, different boots, different poles, different techniques and different wax/ski preparation.  To go a step further like has been done in Running and Cycling it could also include Ski Touring and Back County Skiing which are also quite different than Classic and Freestyle which are what we are seeing in the Winter Olympics this week.

Could you please advise whether it is possible to export time, pace, and athlete (user) name for a specific segment using the Strava API?

 bonjourJe vous écris pour vous demander un remboursement concernant un abonnement annuel Strava qui a été renouvelé automatiquement. Tout a commencé il y a un mois, lorsque ma copine et moi avons décidé de se mettre à la course et elle m'a proposé d'essayer l'abonnement gratuit d'un mois à Strava. J'ai accepté et ajouté ma carte de crédit pour bénéficier de cet essai gratuit. Cependant, aujourd'hui, soit exactement un mois après l'inscription, j'ai été facturé 59,99 € pour un abonnement annuel que je ne souhaitais pas renouveler. Je n'avais pas l'intention de continuer avec l'abonnement payant et j'aimerais demander un remboursement de cette somme, car je n'utiliserai pas le service.  Je vous remercie par avance pour votre compréhension et votre aide pour résoudre cette situation.  Dans l'attente de votre réponse, Cordialement,Ballay Nolan 

We need a Ruck Activity… including the weight carried. Believe it or not, it’s popular. There’s a few guys doing it in my area. It’d be pretty easy for Strava to set up and add one extra feature: weight of ruck and perhaps weight of the person too. If you can do Kite Surfing [which is awesome by the way], Rucking would be a walk in the park!
