Calories on Commutes

For some reason, calories are hidden from commute activities and replaced with co2 emmissions. Having that is fine, but calories shouldn’t be removed. At least put it into the the expanded stats.

They seem to show on the website but not the app.

Hi @plants4jim

Thanks for your post. Activities tagged as commutes will still display calories on the activity page. Are you referring to the stats that show up on an activity while it’s being viewed in the Mobile Feed?

The activity data you see when viewing an activity in the Mobile feed may be slightly different from activity to activity depending on the activity type and the activity itself.

For example, for a running activity, the elevation will appear in place of pace/speed if the elevation gain is greater than 100 ft per mile. The information you see may also be dependent on the length of the text.

We do have an existing feature suggestion this topic that you may want to check out:

Not in the feed, but in the activity itself. On mobile, when it’s tagged as commute, the calories don’t appear to be shown anywhere. I was mistakenly under the impression this was also the case on the browser version, but that version does show it. The mobile activity page doesn’t however,.

Hi @plants4jim

Thanks for clarifying that.

The six fields that are displayed in the Mobile workout summary may or may not show calories when the activity is tagged as commute. Some commutes will display calories depending on what other metrics are being displayed. There is currently no way to customize this, however we do have an existing feature suggestion for this already. We’d welcome your vote and any additional comments you would like to add to that post. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this.
