Hi @dariennns, your question reminded me of a similar one I was responding to the other day - and I’d just repeat, be careful what you wish for 🙂

Hi @Jana_S , thanks for the comment! It will be a regional thing so meeting up is quite easy. It’s a hub to keep each other accountable and plan fun runs at a more beginner level.

I was involved in a club for work some years ago.
The best way we found to spread awareness was simply word of mouth and actively send messages and invitations to friends and colleagues.
One barrier we found was people thinking that they could only join Strava via a subscription.  Once people understood they could join for free and then upgrade later if they wanted to then we got much better results.
Good luck.

Really appreciate it! Did you host regular events to keep the activity going?

You can also take the lead by inviting people to your club

Hi, hoping back to your question about events.

Yes, we did do events and did ones for cycling, running and other types.  It greatly helped engagement

We did different lengths as well as types and even set starter and advanced groups for leader boards.  This last was important as it stopped beginners from becoming discouraged or overwhelmed by more advanced athletes.
