Question

Missing time display

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

Hi, this was raised about a year ago and there still does not appear to be a resolution for it.

I seem to have a few runs completed where the activity time is completely missing for no apparent reason. One of my activities it was there previously but now it is gone.

I’ve seen something about the amount of space, but this is not the issue at all. There is enough space, the detail is just not there.  I’ve uploaded two examples where you can clearly see the run with the time displayed has more achievements than the run without the time.

This is only when on the mobile app on the main activity feed. You can see the time when you click the activity but most of us just want the time on the main page so it can be seen when scrolling.

It is a small issue but very frustrating. Please resolve it.  If you need to omit details from this area, omit the achievement badges as this is less important than the time in my opinion.

Would be grateful for an explanation as to why this happens and only on some activities. Again nothing to do with the amount of space as there is plenty of space on this line.

Thanks

Hello @Picnic, welcome to the Community Hub!

The activity data you see when viewing an activity in the feed may be slightly different from activity to activity depending on the activity type and the activity itself. For example, for a running activity, the elevation will appear in place of pace/speed if the elevation gain is greater than 100ft per mile. Otherwise, pace/speed will be visible on the dashboard.

The information you see may also be dependent on the length of the text. For example, if you are not seeing elevation or pace but an empty space this may be because the time and distance take up more room on the screen, and therefore the next set of data (elevation or pace) is not displayed since there is limited room.

Hope this helps and we appreciate your feedback!

Respectfully, you are providing a standard reply WITHOUT actually reading the issues people are facing to understand the specific issue. To confirm again, there is NO issue with space and elevation was not a factor as the time data was not replaced with elevation. If you look at the examples I provided you can clearly see space is not an issue as I have an example where there is actually less space available yet the time IS displayed.  The example I provided for the 25km run had little elevation so this was not a factor either.  There are only 2 achievement badges so there is plenty of space to display the time.  Please look at the specific comments and examples people are providing and kindly provide a clear explanation as to how this can be resolved. It is not clear why a choice would be made to remove the time rather than the random achievement badges.  The time is surely more important to display. Or surely provide us with a choice of what we prefer to display. Thank you
