Offline maps iphone not working

I have a premium subscription and would like to download and use maps and routes offline. Can this be done?

  1. I’ve “downloaded” some routes, and the appropriate icon turns red. However, I cannot access them offline - when I try to press them nothing happens.
  2. I can’t find any option to download a map offline (the way fatmap used to have). Am I missing something?

Wow, it’s been a while. 

In the meantime, I’ve cancelled my premium subscription due to this issue, so I don’t know if it has been fixed. 
 

I would like to use Strava as my skitouring map app, but unreliable offline access is a no go. Too bad fatmap was discontinued.
