The Strava mobile app currently does not support .gpx export forcing users to use leverage the desktop application as part of that workflow. As a trail runner who travels frequently (without a laptop) and relies on .gpx files for navigation in offline mountain environments, having the ability to export a .gpx file from a route published by a club group run or the route builder would be a powerful feature. Highly recommend adding an option to export .gpx files from the Strava mobile app. Thank you!

Guys, I really need this, almost 2 years have passed since the feedback creation, how is it possible.,...

I was certain it exists. How could it not? It appears it can, and downloading GPX files is the reason I bought premium. Why can't I download it on my phone, but I can on my desktop? This feature is very needed.

I run into this on a weekly basis. Would really appreciate being able to download for navigation!

Any progress on this, or should we continue using external tools to export gpx'es and compromise our privacy and security?

So many good comments calling out Strava for clearly not providing a basic service.  Absolutely appalling that in 2024 this export to GPX is not offered. Canceling my Strava membership as I no longer see the value.

I can't believe a GPX export still doesn't exist on the mobile app for paying customers. Such a basic feature! It's frustrating each time that I need to go through a lot of trouble to simple get the GPX of a route that's saved in the Strava app, on my phone.

I really like the maps feature but without gpx export its useless for me. I stopped my Premium subscription and am constantly seeing features added to maps and an added darkmode etc, but no gpx export, a basic function lots of other workoutapps have. This is also my solution, im planning with komoot and export this gpx for navigation to my watch. Unfortunately, the komoot planning feature is worse than stavas, but at least on mobile. Maybe at some point someone from stava sees this ongoing thead about this missing feature and they add it.
