Hi There Strava,

Would be great to have a strava activity that is stretching. I don't want to list as Yoga, just stretching. Yoga is also a religious based system which I don't share in.

Considering enhancing the Strava platform, it may be beneficial to include stretching as an activity option. This addition may offer a broader range of benefits to the platform users.

Yoga is definitely not religious. Its stretching

I second this suggestion. While yoga does stretch out muscles, it's not really the same as regular stretching and most regular stretches aren't yoga poses nor does regular stretching have a flow to it. It would be nice to have a stretching activity to pick from instead of using yoga or generic activity labels.

Hi there Tigha, quick searches definitly shows it is (although not that old). And not that I take Wiki as the authority for many things it (and many other sources) lists "spiritual practises" in the first sentence, also mentions the connection to its Hindu Origins. Its definitly not "just stretching" to many people that practise it. And if it is just stretching as you say then simply change the name to "Stretching" and remove the ambiguity - I would guess there will be a very big quantity of people that would quickly raise a problem with that name change, happy to be proven wrong if it does get a name change and there are zero questions raised.

Currently I add my stretching as Weight Training.
I would love to see this added to the platform.
Also want to second the opinion that stretching and yoga are two distinct activities.

I also agree with the idea of having a distinct type of activity. Besides, when I select "Stretching" on my Suunto watch, the activity created in Strava is "Training" which is far too generic.

Did you get a reply on this one from the Strava crew? Using Strava as my training diary and it would really be nice to really track my stretching specifically and probably really motivate me to do more of the much needed rehab/prehab.

Hi, did this get reviewed by Strava? I would really love active stretching to be added. Having not done enough stretching pre and post run in the past and getting injuries, I now try and do a lot more but it would be great to be able to track it.
