Additional stats for fixed gear bikes

Thanks for your post!  Would you be able to provide more detail and clarity around your suggestion?  It sounds like you are asking for some enhancements to the Gear Page in Settings to better accommodate Fixed Gear bikes?

Oh hey. I am surprised to have gotten some interaction! Thanks!

Now I’m not the most technical person in this department but my idea was to have a gear ratio input area. Such as two drop boxes that would appear if you selected “fixed gear/track bike” or even “single speed.”

Then we would be able to see a relative effort and calorie calculator based in this information. 
I love using Strava to track my calories and I know I am burning more when I’m on my track bike, even though I may not be going as fast.

also uphill (and downhill) becomes a different game when you only have the one gear. 

so basically I think a calorie calculator that takes the gear ratio (front and read cog) into consideration if you are in a fixed gear or track bike would be a great addition. 

I hope I have made my idea clear. If you require any further clarification, please don’t hesitate to ask! This app has helped stay connected with my cycling friends across the world. But when I take our my fixed gear bike, I feel like it’s almost a waste to track the ride as it just doesn’t cater to the community in the same way.
