I have trouble finding running clubs because all of the ones around me run at times or places I can't make it to consistently. I still would like to make new friends running though.

As an individual, I'd like to be able to post an event about when I'll be running, as well as search and sign up to join others who post their own events.

This would allow for a much smaller-scale approach to meeting and socializing on Strava.

Hey @apvizzi,

Have you considered creating your own club or group challenge?
You could then create a post inviting your followers to join in. This way, you would have more control about the group you would like to run with. This would also allow you to participate in group runs that are more friendly to your free time.

On the Weekly I find myself wanting to invite others on a ride I have planned later in the day or week, but having to reach out individually to others can be bothersome, especially when I have different groups of friends for different styles of riding.

It would be extremely convenient to make a post and or alert to my Strava followers that I’m looking to do a group ride later in the day and or later in the week.

Having customization for ride details on distance and time, as well as opt in features so you know that someone is interested in joining your ride so you can then communicate privately via text/call or even messaging within Strava.

Like an artists portolio, the Portfolio feature would allow athletes to create a curated list of 10-15 of their most important and meaningful activities. For instance, one could highlight:

  • Interesting routes
  • A meaningful achievement like the completion of a hundred-mile race, a first marathon, or even a podium spot
  • A special travel experience featuring lots of really nice photos

The idea is to showcase achievements that give you pride or you think others might find interesting. I'm sure you've clicked on a profile before to see someone's 30 mundane neighborhood dog walks, and lurking fifty posts later down is an epic ride you've never considered in your own backyard, or photos of a place that make you want to travel there.

The feature would be in an athlete's Profile section and available to paid subscribers only. #Portfolio

FACTS: As sports enthusiasts, we prefer to practice in groups rather than alone. Together, we achieve our goals with enthusiasm.

OPTION STRAVA: This option connects sports enthusiasts to find nearby training partners. Users can search for or post specific sports activities, specifying location, skill level, and schedule. It facilitates coordination and social interaction among members, promoting an active and healthy lifestyle within the community. Bla Bla Car but for finding nearby training partners, without paying ofc.

INDIVIDUAL SPORTS: The app connects individuals for solo sports like running, cycling, and swimming, fostering companionship and motivation.

TEAM SPORTS: The app can include features for organizing teams, finding teammates to participate, scheduling matches or events, managing leagues or tournaments, and facilitating communication among team members.

Example: "I would like to go for a bike ride, but I don't want to go alone. I'm going to post the following: 2 hours of exercise, Moderate intensity, around Linyola (Pla d'Urgell, Catalonia), starting from 7pm"
