Dark Mode !!

It's 2022 and most apps have Dark Mode nowadays. It might be a bit weird to use Strava when not working out... But looking at the segments the night before to plan out the next run is a thing. Please make us literally lose less sleep when doing this, or when recording an activity in the evening.

This has consistently been the top request on reddit.com/r/strava

.......if the elite Strava athletes wake up in the morning and say to themselves "Awh **bleep**! I love this whitescreen Strava, I wish more of my apps where this bright" 😅

.........and do Strava users in the far northern latitudes use the Strava whitescreen as a bright-light medication to substitute for sunlight in the winter months? What an awesome solution for seasonal affective disorder, just spend more time on whitescreen Strava. Your psychologist might even prescribe it and medical aid can cover the subscription cost😅

It's been nearly 2 years since this feature request was added. At the time it was submitted, virtually every other app had already included dark mode support. Android and Apple have both added dark mode support for apps at the OS level. Since then, Strava has increased their pricing precipitously, while outright declining to support dark mode because "Implementing dark mode now would divert staffing away from other exciting initiatives that many of you care about." This is the second-highest-rated feature request. Your users are here on your platform telling you "what they care about" and you are just ignoring it. Why? Why are you so vehemently opposed to this? It is not a difficult thing to implement...

What's worse is you spit in their faces in the latest update where you actually remove the orange header and replace it with more white... Unbelievable.

LOL @JHBStrava so it was a performance enhancement feature and not a bug all along. It's the only thing that makes sense.

Im using strava as flash light. Its great in camping and less blinding than the actual flash light from my phone. Please never get rid of it.

• I have no idea why strava still doesn't support dark mode as it's one of the most basic feature to add and is already a standard in every app. This is one of the easiest ways to save BATTERY LIFE on long rides as the screen essentially turns off the black pixels saving a ton of battery life. This has been one of the most requested features but still strava couldn't be bothered to add such a basic feature even though it has the potential to significantly enhance user experience and save a TON of battery life especially on long rides. Come on devs it's supported on all fitness apps. Do better.

Shocking. Seemingly not satisfied with not supporting phone system theme settings of user preferences, we now get even more white to glare at us in the late/early hours.

Please Strava Dev team, allow the app to follow the user-device display choice between dark/light theme.

It IS shocking!.....

All I can think, is that there is some design-**bleep** holding a senior position of power within Strava who has an obsession with the white-design aesthetic. 

Making screens brighter and whiter when your customers are begging for a dark-theme option truly beggars belief.

This new update is horrible for how bright it is.  If they are going to make the app brighter, then they need to focus on a dark mode.

Totally agree! It's crazy to not have a dark mode on 2024.  This latest updated just magnifying the issue.

I don't care about new and exciting features if they are so bright it's a pain to use them. Dark mode please!!!!
