When a cycling event is finished it would be great to have the maximum gradient displayed as a data point beside maximum speed, elevation gain, etc.
Thanks for submitting your idea to add maximum gradient as a post-activity statistic. It has been reviewed by our moderation team and is now open to voting.
I often want to see the max grade for a ride so would love this
This ideas needs some explaining where this max gradient should come from and how it should be calculated. The maps Strava uses are to inaccurate for this information to be reliable. The recording devices use barometers or GPS for elevation changes together with speed sensors or GPS for distance changes and that with different approaches over how much time or distance a gradient is computed before it is displayed to the rider as current gradient.
Definitely want this, surprised they don't already have it by default.
My Igpsport igs320 bike computer records this info so why doesn't Strava display it, my ride from yesterday attached just for fun 🇳🇿
