It would be so nice to be able to view activities by piece of gear. Now, I know that in the web version it's somewhat feasible, but:

  1. There's no such an option in the app, and that shouldn't happen.
  2. You can filter activities on web, but it must be a "double match", e.g., type of activity and piece of gear. In poor words, I can watch all my runs with a certain pair of shoes. But I can't watch multiple type of activities with the same piece of gear, e.g. I can't wiew walks AND runs with a certain pair of shoes.

This is something that can be good value for many athletes who use multiple pieces of gear. I alone have four pair of shoes, two bikes, my brother's bike, and so on...

I do love this idea and have implemented a similar practice / listing for my own training log.

Hi, I think it would be great if we could filter by the bike ridden / gear used in the app.

I ride a commuter and a road bike, but am interested in my commute being faster. My time on the road bike is much faster, which skews my data.

Also, it would be interesting to see if there are any segments where my commuter is faster (then I could go over it on my road bike)

Hi

It would be great if one could filter statistics on gadget.
In the tag "My activities" one should be able to filter on a specific bike (maybe also gadgets in general).
This way I could see what bike/shoes used where and when, related to maintenance also beneficial.
Looking forward to hearing Your views about this.

I have a summer road bike and a much heavier/slower winter bike. I would like to be able to filter my efforts on any given segment by which bike I was using, so that I have a separate PR for each bike on that segment.

It will be great if i can browse all the activities in the past in one shoes, to see what i've done in specific shoes in the past

VeloViewer offers this feature for bikes, and you can look at a single year or total all-time for a single bike. I'm not a runner, but I suspect the same feature would work for shoes. It's worth checking out.

Strava offers this too on the web site in "My activities", after you have selected the sport type:

Hi,

I'd like to be able to filter activities performed using specific gear, like a specific bike or shoes.

if I go to the gear overview and click on one of my bikes I would love to get a list of all activities that have been done using that specific bicycle.

this would also be nice for shoes.

@havkros  Strava Web -> Training -> My Activities -> Select Sport -> Now you can filter on shoes/bike

Thanks! I only use the iOS app, so this was new to me. My feature request would now be to add this to the phone app.

I would like to include the activity count for each gear in the gear list, along with a link to the respective activity list. Users can conveniently access the activities associated with a particular gear.

Hello. This feature is supported in third party app powered by Strava https://myworkoutcompanion.net/ if anyone is interested.

Here you can filter activeties by gear and you can also generate reports filterd by gear.

A build on this would be to have the ability to do a similar filtering on PRs and also for the gear to be visible alongside the PR list. Filtering activities based on gear is nice but readily being able to see and understand 'best times' and the associated gear, for me, would be even better.
