Users would create a grid on the map by pointing and dragging to cover an area and bring up a list of all segments that begin, end, and pass through your grid. This would allow users to see specifically what segments exist in a certain area rather than relying on the map which will have segments appear and disappear rapidly when zooming or scrolling.
