Please consider making hiking/walking/snowshoeing activities eligible for elevation-gain challenges. Right now, wheelchair is included along with run, and since hiking/walking/snowshoeing are activities done on foot, it stands to reason that they should qualify as well.

I live in the mountains, and it’s a bummer not to qualify for any of these challenges. In general, I would also like to see snowshoeing included in more challenges to the same degree that hiking is. Anyone who has snowshoed can attest that this activity type is no less strenuous than hiking, on the contrary.

I think there should be a separate hike climbing challenge, which would include hiking, snowhoeing, walking and rock climbing.

The climbing challenge already exists for running, but there is no recognition at all for hiking even though it can be very challenging and equally impressive!

Looks like it’s live 🙂 Thank you for implementing this! What would be even better now would be adding snowshoeing to Local Legends.

As @zecanard pointed out, this is now live in the June Run Climbing challenge and will be in the elevation challenges affecting foot sports going forward!
