This is likely a vestige of the long-ago era when Strava truncated all distances throughout the entire app to a single decimal. A few places remain that haven’t been expanded to 2 digits, eg. distances on activities viewed while not logged in.
It would be great if Strava allowed for manual tracking distance to the hundredth, rather than just the tenth decimal. Often I will do a 30min to 60min run and my distance is _.35 miles, but the app will only let me track _.30 or _.40 miles. This impacts my overall distance and average times. If I track a distance run through the NRC or Garmin and finish with 6.11 miles it will log correctly. But if I manually add a similar run, I can only log 6.10 miles. Add the ability to manually track to the hundredth decimal.
