I want to be able to set a fixed distance for a run and when that distance is reached the activity automatically stops with a specific sound-notification.

This enables me to set a distance of 10km and then just focus on the run instead of having to keep track of how far I've run all the time.

Thanks for submitting your idea to determine a specific distance for your activity and have the activity automatically end once you've reached it. It has been reviewed by our moderation team and is now open to voting.

For your information, we do have audio announcements as a feature, however, these will only notify you about the progress and not end the activity for you.

If you use the fantastic App called WorkOutDoors (for the Apple Watch only) you will be able to run a fixed length run no problem plus a plethora of amazing features.  Don't worry, you can then upload the data to Strava!

The Nike run app also allows you to run a fixed distance.

Soren is there any update on adding this feature?

Less of an issue now that you can "crop" your run.

For example, you can run 10.05k with a sprint finish and go back and crop it to the 10k that you want a comparable time for.  It saves messing about with technology while trying to concentrate on your PB!

The App called WorkOutDoors is still brilliant by the way and synchronises with Strava.
