The barometer on my watch is shockingly bad (like a lot of others I would suspect) that I’d like there to be a setting in Strava that would allow all activities to use the Strava basemap by default instead. It gets tedious having to choose this setting after activity and sometimes I can forget and that ruins my elevation stats.

One of my segments said that my biggest climb was over 100 metres altitude gain but the segment was only physically 18 metres altitude gain

+1 — came on here to submit this idea myself.

Garmin Forerunner watches are notorious for losing their ability to correctly record elevation over time (possibly due to swimming in chlorine pools but no proper fix yet).

My watch works perfectly otherwise so I'm reluctant to just get a new one — especially when I can fix it by just using the "Adjust Elevation" button, though having to do this after every activity is a pain.

It would save so much time to be able to set this to automatically use Strava data after each upload (just a blanket option for across your Strava account would be good, as a per-device setting sounds like lots of work).

Also came here to say this!
