Seeing the new features rolled out is great, but there's still work to be done matching functionality between app and website.  Ideally, if it's important enough to exist in one, it should also be in the other.  Examples:

1. Adding Gear: Given that STRAVA now has so many activity categories, it would be nice to add gear other than shoes and bikes; I log roughly 20 miles per week on a Concept2 rower, and would like to aggregate that data in the app/website.

2. Segment creation/searching/exploring:  Searching is clunky on the app, but very intuitive on the website, and creation of segments is only available through the website.

3. Course Creation/searching/exploring: Similar to Segments, creation is somewhat cumbersome on the app to the point where folks just don't use it; I make it a point to only create routes on the website for the sake of my own sanity.  In dire straits, I actually prefer the CityStrides route builder over that of either STRAVA or Garmin Connect apps.

4. FlyBy:  This was once an awesome function, albeit only really viewable from the website, and since STRAVA changed their privacy policies making the user default as 'opted out', it's essentially unused.  Also, FlyBy isn't widely advertised as a feature, and not obvious to app users that it even exists.

5. Muting Activities:  An activity can only be muted through the app, and not the website.
DELIVERED: Enable Muted activities on web

6. Managing Goals:  Currently only Running, Cycling, and Swimming distance goals can be viewed/managed through the website, but other activities like Rowing can be viewed/managed through the app.

7. Choosing Favorite Athletes/Activity Alerts:  Designation of specific friends/athletes as "favorites" and opting into notifications of their activities is only available through the app.

8. Although not available on either the website or the app, the ability to simply edit your comment on someone's activity would be very helpful, and seems like pretty low-hanging fruit.

I would like to see the same graph in desktop as there is in mobile. I think the desktop profile page can be highly improved as the current graph is very old fashioned.

Also navigating through past weeks is quite uncomfortable in desktop as you have to click in each week to be able to see the stats (apart from the activities which might not be relevant at first glance). It would be much more convenient to see basic weekly stats (distance, time, elevation) for each activity type by hovering the cursor over each past week as in mobile.

This would make the desktop profile page much accessible and easier to navigate as it won't require a click and load to go to each week.

My training (McMillan running training plan integration) is a great feature for premium subscribers. For context, this is my second time using a McMillan running training plan, and am generally happy with the features and the email alerts offered. However, I have noted Strava has an opportunity for further integration and to enhance the user experience.

  • As many users suggest, to make my training available on the app
  • Use personalized Strava running metrics as input to the training plan, as the inputs for the moment are more basic and not based on actual Strava data. For example, training log data can better calibrate the plan
  • Integrate the Strava training calendar (training > training calendar) with the training plan. Currently, since only the training calendar receives Strava data, completion and progress tracking is a manual process that is time consuming, especially over the months and years.

To the Strava Dev Team, please add the "Correct Distance" feature on the app, because we manually do it on desktop. Very inconvenient. Or maybe fix the distance itself from the app so we don't have to correct the distance ourselves. Thank you

It appears elevation info can only be manually added on the laptop / Strava website; when I did a recent manual activity add on my iPhone there was no place to add elevation info. Adding this feature to the iPhone app would be good.

I think many of the points here overlap with another thread that was seeking to have Spin Cycling as a new category.
To my mind the heart of that request and some of this is the desire to add manual fields to an activity that is otherwise incomplete.  The best example being the Spin Cycle.  An Apple Watch will give heart rate and time but not distance or elevation (obviously the bike hasn’t moved), but that can be solved if the edit function for the activity allows you to add manual fields.
If these manual fields, that can be entered via a Manual activity were enabled then it would be possible to make a spin ride work like an indoor ride using a Smart Trainer on Zwift/MyWhoosh etc.
