Hi Strava team! I'm a big fan of Strava and I love using it to track my workouts. I'd like to suggest an improvement to the Strava mobile app for WearOS smartwatches.
Step counting is a crucial metric for many Strava users, especially those who prioritize overall fitness and daily activity levels. The Strava WearOS app currently doesn't track steps! I propose that the Strava WearOS app be updated to automatically track steps and upload (sync) this data to the user's Strava dashboard, within the 'Cadence' section.
Imagine participating in a steps Challenge (walk, hike, run) and being able to have your steps count recorded directly in your WearOS watch and then, as a magic trick, after syncing data with your Strava dashboard, the "Cadence section" shows your step count! That would be awesome! 😀
I truly believe that automatic step tracking would be a valuable addition to the Strava WearOS app and would be greatly appreciated by many users as far as by me. I urge you to consider implementing this feature as soon as possible. Thank you for your time and consideration.
