I use Strava on my Pixel Watch, but miss some improvements:

1) The ability to lock the screen from the Strava app, hindring accidental taps on screen or crown.

2) When I open the watch app, it would be nice to get the most frequently used activity types on top. Not having to scroll all the way to get right activity each time.

3) Should be good to see a summary of the latest activity also on the watch.

Hoppe to see some improvements soon 👍💪

Adding examples of the Strava UI and flow for Stop->Resume from the Apple Watch. Notice that Resume and Finish are the only clickable elements on the middle page. Both have equal size and should be easy to click. Discarding and Saving are follow-up actions after Finish. This places the more critical tasks at the forefront and uses the limited space better.

Totally agree. The resume button on the Pixel Watch is almost impossible to press correctly. I typically have to poke at the bottom of the screen a handful of times before it actually registers. Which is a real buzzkill when you're trying to get across an intersection before the light changes.

Same, as a runner with the Pixel Watch it makes me miss using my old fossil watch on wear 2.0 with the old interface. This current wear os 3 interface is lazy and simple. Please at least make the resume button easy to push! I get so frustrated that sometimes I switch all together and use fitbit. I have even cancelled my subscription because of this design flaw.

Agreed! I would love to have the option to see my current pace. I was able to do that on the old wear OS 2 app, I cannot imagine it would be very hard to do this. It makes doing interval runs or tempo runs impossible.

I agree with everything stated here. What is particularly bothersome with the screen off is when I lift my wrist to see the pace I am running at, it takes a couple seconds to adjust to the pace I am currently running. Because of this I have to stare at my watch for a few seconds to get an accurate reading. It would be nice if the activity app functioned the same way as it does for the Google Fit activities. The screen does not turn off during the workout and looks like shown in the photo below. Google Fit also gives you options for audio cues for each activity as well. If these activities could be transferred to Strava, I'd probably use it instead as it is very user friendly.

Couldn't agree more and quite astonished (understatement) a run tracker wouldn't show distance as a standard feature.  I also see it's been submitted for voting, but there's no link on where to go to vote.

Strava's wear OS interface is shamefully bad in every respect (run mode doesn't show distance???), but that being said, on my Samsung watch I just use the bottom physical button to pause/unpause.  Does the Pixel not have a physical button that will do the same?

No, the Pixel doesn't have a button that pauses and unpauses. There are only two physical buttons.

Agreed, especially with adding the current Split Average Pace option. In the Strava app on Android phones, the SAP is the default (only?) pace option for real time display. As a result, if you switch between phone and watch, you're switching the method of keeping track of your pace.

Personally, this made the watch absolutely useless for keeping pace on my last marathon. Late in a long run, every second added to the total average pace can represent a lot of time won or lost (+20s per second if you're 20 miles in, for example).

Please add the current average pace / split or mile to the watch.

Still waiting for a resolution on this.

I hate the resume button.  I keep finishing the runs when I want to resume it.

This should be a simple solution, make the interface similar to the apple watch.  I don't know why, but this feels like Strava self sabotage.

I came here to leave the same frustration. As a professional product/UX designer, I 100% agree that this is a design flaw that enhances risk of error.

Hi mvinas, how do I get to that "Workout Settings" page in the Fitbit app?

compared to almost all other fitness tracking apps on any platform this really does seem primitive. not what i would expect from a company that places itself at the top of the fitness tracking market. Poor show.

I totally agree. For example for me heart rate and is the most important. Maybe distance as well. A good start would be to have a few watchfaces. At the moment I use my Polar watch for actual fitness tracking and my Galaxy Watch for distance, which is defintely not great
