Strava should introduce a new feature called "Weekly Segment Goals" that encourages users to set achievable goals each week.

Users could select a segment that they want to focus on for the week, and then set a target time that they want to achieve on that segment.

Throughout the week, Strava could track their progress and provide feedback on how close they are to achieving their goal. At the end of the week, users could see how they did and if they met their goal. As the weather's not great so when I'm out cycling I'm not hitting my PB but I'm still improving ride after ride

This feature would encourage users to focus on short-term goals, rather than always striving for their personal best. It would also help users see more consistent improvement and progress over time, rather than just a few standout performances.

Hi @Adstur

Thanks for posting about this.  We do have segment filters you can use to see your best segment time over different time periods:  All time, today, this week and this month.  You can also select a "This Year" filter on the side.

Those filters allow to see your best time on a given segment during the time period selected.

Hey @Adstur I'd also like to point out that it's possible to set segment specific goals from the website, you select the segment in question and your goal time, as well as a deadline to achieve it by. You can read more about it here.

Hello. We wanted to let you know that your idea submission from April of 2023 will be archived. While this idea is interesting, we don’t have any immediate plans to implement this and currently aren’t able to prioritize this idea.

Please note that your feedback is valuable to Strava. As stated in our Community Idea Guidelines, we receive many idea submissions each week, and realistically, there may be various reasons that prevent us from including an idea on our Product Roadmap.

We want to thank you for taking the time to submit your idea and we look forward to your continued contributions to the Strava Community.
