Hi, the latest updates of the iOS app have some added automation which seems to try to be helpful, but, please, how can I disable that? 😬
First - making a screenshot of activity details triggers a sharing screen (where you can save an image of the map or the activity photo with stats). I understand it might make sense in some use cases, but if I'm taking a screenshot of the splits, elevation graph or pretty much anything in the activity details, I really do not want the sharing screen to pop up and hide the details that I want to capture.
Second - once opening a newly imported activity, a "quick edit" dialogue pops up immediately prompting to rename the activity etc. But it's too simplified and doesn't include all the options (such as: shoes), so I always just close it and open the actual Edit mode. The "quick edit" is just a distracting and frustrating step. If anything needs to be automated this way, then perhaps why not opening the newly imported activity in the Edit mode right away?
Again, I can imagine that these pop-ups may be useful for some users. But make this at least optional please, it would make the experience much more user friendly.

Totally agree. Annoying feature. Strava please provide disable feature

Here's another vote for the option to disable the "simple edit" option. I NEVER use it (I "advanced edit" all of my activities) and it bugs the heck out of me. Terrible UX/UI change.

Agree 1000%. It simplifies editing by making one "simply" close the pop-up to actually edit the fields that need editing. This feature was obviously the brainchild of someone that is A:not in tune with their user base B:not a user of the app.
This from someone that edits EVERY activity that I post.
Hopefully they will kill this before it kills off their user base.

Even the option for advanced editor, rather than the simple editor, as an option to change the default behaviour?

Totally agree with there being a need for an option for this feature. It’s annoying as **bleep** and winds me up that I have to close the window every time. As someone who logs 3 activities a day I’d rather the feature wasn’t there at all.

Please disable the quick edit...

I agree. This is an option that is great in theory. In reality it’s incredibly annoying because I want to quickly go to the app and check something out and there’s always some demand on my time to close out a screen I will never use.

Same here. Would be useful if it included the fields I typically edit, but it doesn't, so it just gets in the way. In all cases, should have an option to disable.

The quick edit option is useful for people who routinely edit their activities. But for people who barely, if ever, edit their activities (myself included), it's more of a nuisance than a feature. Please add an option to disable it.
