Can not create segment

For some reason, I can not create a segment today. Anyone experiencing the same problem?

With Safari, no luck, but workedwhen using Chrome. I hope it will continue to work with Chrome in the future, as I am not keen on purchasing a new computer just for this. / Peter

Thanks for your post. Did this resolve? If it's still happening, please let us know if you are seeing an error message when attempting segment creation.

I have problem to create a segment, website ive me hint : "Segment creation in this area is disabled because it has been identified as private property, having restricted activity access, and/or other reasons."

i cant underestend this because its a public "road"...

Yes for the last two days every segment I create appears not to get saved. The segment creation prices works and it gives the usual message to say it has been created but when I look in My Segments area, they're not there.

Unfortunately using Chrome fails for me too. I think there is currently a bug in the app. I've tried so many times to create over last two days using various methods but not one segment gets saved. Never had this problem before.

+1, experiencing this today. I follow the standard segment creation process (as I’ve always done), and then it does not show up under my created segments.

Same for me today, even trying from a differet ride on the same road. All the procedure of creating is fine until the end…. But then no new Segment at all

Hi, this problem is still happening. No new segments appear as saved once been created. I've been insisting to create a new segment for two days now, and it just won't work.

This issue is still not resolved as of 9/30/2024.  Also noticed on last week's completed rides, PRs were not being noted with the icon unless I actually clicked on every logged segment to see personal effort, and THEN it would say if a PR or not.  Very odd.

No error message, just not showing up on activities or in the created segment page.

I logged a support ticket for this and have had a reply. Apparently it is a known problem and Strava support are working to get it fixed. Must be a biggy as they're taking their time to resolve it.
