How To: Troubleshoot Hub Login or Posting Issues

If you’re experiencing issues or an error message when accessing or posting from your account, follow the steps below. 

 

Ensure that your associated Strava account is fully filled out.

To fully participate in the Community Hub, please ensure that your associated Strava (strava.com) account is fully completed and that you are logged in to the Hub.

 

To update your associated Strava profile: 

Web

  1. Select your profile picture in the upper right-hand corner 
  2. Select “Settings” > “My Profile” 
  3. Hover over “Birthday” and select the pencil icon
  4. Update the birthday > Select “Save”

Mobile

  1. Select “You” in the lower navigation 
  2. Select the “Edit” button
  3. Under “Athlete Information,” go to “Select Birthdate” > update the date > Select “OK”

 

After updating your Strava profile, try to log in and/or post in the Community Hub again.

Hi there, I’m unable to post new ideas to the community or reply. I found this article but there is no Birthday field in the community profile (only in the strava profile). Maybe you need to wait a certain amount of time after account creation to post? If that’s the case, include that information somewhere?

When I try to Create a new topic, I get the error message “Sorry, we couldn't save your topic – you don't have access to the category.” for all categories. And then this post has instructions that do not apply to profiles. Please help straighten out your experience?

Hello ​@ridgerunner11 - to fully participate in the Community Hub, including Ideas, please ensure that your associated Strava (strava.com) account is fully completed and that you are logged in to the Hub. In the post How To: Troubleshoot Hub Login or Posting Issues” we are instructing everyone to fill the birthday field in their associated Strava account, not in the Community Hub account. 

 

If your associated Strava account is fully completed and you are logged in, please us know if you are still experiencing any issues posting in the Community Hub and we will be glad to help further.

Can you fix the error message?

 

It makes no sense and is not at all obvious that I would need a birthday set in my Strava profile to post here.  What a stupid way to convey that info.
