Hi ​@Geoffrey.vdw, indeed the same issue was caused by duckduckgo for other people, but there can be also another conflicting app causing this. Typically, it's apps that are designed to prevent tracking (while tracking is the very purpose of Strava).

To simply verify if that can be the case, try logging into the Strava app from another device (e.g. from another phone, tablet etc). If the maps work correctly there, then it means that there's something on your phone conflicting with Strava. 

if this doesn't help, you might want to specify what device / operating system you're using, what security / traffic controlling apps you have installed, and any other relevant information. 

Hello ​@Jana_S thanks for the reply, I have a samsung a54 w android,  don't remember installing any traffic controlling app I think. Have looked everywhere and can't find anything that would prevent maps being shown.

Do you have the option to try logging in via another device? E.g. on a tablet or a friend's phone. Just temporarily for testing/troubleshooting purposes, you’d log out right after checking how the maps behave there. It's just to exclude or confirm the theory that there could be something conflicting with Strava on your phone.
