Today, 30 minutes into a 50K ride I found that my Beacon connection had been cancelled and I had to restart the ride as it had stopped recording too. My Wife relies on my Beacon connection to see where I am and she was concerned that I’d had some sort of accident.
I was unable to log in from the App again without gaining access from a code sent to my home Email account which I can’t easilly access from my phone. After this I could start another ride but despite sending the Beacon SMS to my wife several times it didnt show any progress and appeared to be waiting for me to move. I had started the ride as usual through the Strava App in my iPhone and have had no problems in all the years I’ve been using it. I did wonder if this was some sort of hack occuring as Ive had no notification of any impending changes to logging in and I should also add that a friend has had a similar experience.
