Hello Strava Support,

Today I recorded a cycling ride, but during the ride I paused the activity for a break. After that, I forgot to resume it and continued cycling for around 8–10 km. Later, when I stopped to drink water, I noticed the activity was still paused, so I resumed it and completed the rest of my ride.

Because of this, the activity showed a strange straight line / incorrect section. While trying to fix it, I accidentally used the crop tool and removed the wrong part of the ride. Now only the cropped section is showing in my activity, and most of my actual ride is missing.

The original ride was around 65–66 km. Could you please help me restore the original activity before it was cropped?

Thank you.

That depends on what you used to record the ride. If it was the Strava app then the warning in the cropping tool that the change is irreversible is true and you can’t restore the original. If it was another app or device you can delete the Strava activity and upload it again from the source.

Note also that you can’t reach the Strava support here, see
