Hi Strava Team!
I’m a huge fan of competing on segment leaderboards—it’s one of the best motivators in the app. However, in many popular areas, the All-Time CRs (Course Records) are sometimes held by professional athletes or were set years ago under perfect conditions, making them feel impossible to beat.
While I love the "This Year" filter, I would love to see a Yearly Archive filter. It would be incredible to see who the "Yearly CR" holder was for 2024 or 2025 specifically.
Why this would be awesome:

Motivation: It gives us a fresh "title" to chase every year, even if the All-Time record is out of reach.

Community: We can see who was the most active/fastest in our local community during specific time frames.

Progress: It’s a great way to see how the "top tier" of a segment changes as the years go by.
Is there any chance we could get a dropdown to select specific past years on the segment leaderboard? Thanks for keeping us moving!
