Strava should give a way for participants to flag anomalies by other participants in monthly challenges.

For example, right now, the top 3 participants in the January 400 minute challenge, have activity times that are greater than if they continuously exercised for 24 hours every day non-stop. In fact the top guy has so far done 121,173 hours in 26 days - I don’t know if this is a Strava error, or ridiculous cheating. However, there is no way to flag this.

Hello @Faz16

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on this. I’ve tagged it as feedback so it can be reviewed and discussed by our Team.

I found the same issue with the May 2025 400 Minute Challenge, where the top 50 had recorded more hours activity than there were hours in the month.

After some digging through their activities, it appears that going swimming with a Suunto watch (Suunto Race and Suunto Vertical were the devices consistently listed) causes the occasional erroneous lap time of between 590 and 600 hours. Go for a couple of swims, or a long enough swim to trigger the issue more than once, and you can easily rack up over 1000 hours.

@Jane - Here is another thread that has been discussing this issue for a while.  Would probably be good to merge this thread with that one.  Remove Private Profiles From Challenge Leaderboards | Community
