I did some alpine skiing this year. And earned some uphill segments PRs, while doing gondola. Which is not the way it should be. In addition, those uphill sections even count to total distance, elevation and to your effort which is not correct.

Apps like TrainerRoad (that use logged activities from strava to calculate a training plan) do get totally confused after alpine skiing days. My assumption is, they take the uphill segments as effort done.

Could be improved if strava provides a feature “Ignore Uphill efforts in this activity”. Activating that, removes uphill efforts from this activity stats (total, segements,..).This could be helpful for alpine skiing a as well as for downhill biking.
