Update: The timeline for read-only mode has been updated. You can learn more about this adjusted timeline here.

Hello Hub Members,

We’re excited to announce that on October 28th, we’ll be launching a new forum interface! Here’s what you need to know about the upcoming changes:

---
Important Dates

  • Read-Only Mode: Starting now, the forum will be in read-only mode. You’ll still be able to browse content, but posting and interactions will be paused.

  • Forum Unavailable: In late October, the forum will be temporarily unavailable as we complete the upgrades to our new experience. Date TBD (estimated October 24) and will be updated here.

  • Re-Login Required: Once the new experience goes live, you’ll need to log in again, using your Strava credentials like usual, to access your account. Your account details will remain the same.

What’s Staying the Same

  • All Content Remains: All of your posts, threads, and activity will remain in place.

  • Your User Details Stay Intact: Your account information, number of posts, threads, and achievements will carry over.

  • Familiar Areas: All the current sections of the forum will still be available.

What’s Changing:

New Navigation Experience

  • The forum will feature a more streamlined, user-friendly interface.

  • Sections like discussions and knowledge base articles may be grouped differently for easier access.

Where Things Are

  • Discussions will now be grouped into one unified space for easier navigation.

  • Knowledge Base articles will be consolidated into a central hub for simpler browsing.

Subscriptions Won’t Be Carried Over

  • Due to technical limitations, your current subscriptions (if you haven’t participated in the threads) won’t be transferred to the new platform. The new experience will support category and thread subscriptions, so please take note of the threads or categories you’d like to follow.

Updated Badge, Ranking and Leaderboard Systems

  • The badging system will be updated so that they reflect a more focused view of your peer to peer support activity. Your current activity will count towards your badges in this streamlined system. Due to technical limitations, some badges may not be reflected in this updated system.

  • We’re simplifying the ranking system, making it clearer and easier to follow. Like with the badges, your current activity will still count towards your progress in this new system.

  • The leaderboard will also be updated where you'll be able to see how your weekly and all-time holistic activity in the Hub stacks up against other members.

  • After the transition, we'll continue to iterate and improve on the badge, ranking and leaderboard systems.

We’re excited about this new chapter and can’t wait for you to experience the improved Hub!
