When recording a run from the  Strava app on my Apple Watch. It is not syncing to the Strava account on my phone. I have tried to restart both my phone and watch, updated all software and even deleted and reinstall the app. Not sure what to do, please help.

Ciao Mateorun. Sorry to hear about that. Anyway I've just a found a related discussion happened some months ago. Please take a look at it and let me know if it helps. Thank you

Just a quick question in addition to what @Vincenzo already suggested: @Mateorun, are you usually syncing your runs from the Health app (i.e. recording with the Apple Workout app and syncing to Strava afterwards - which is the scenario for the resolution from Vincenzo); or are you recording directly with the Strava app installed on your Apple Watch?

If it's the latter - the activity was completed and saved as usually, correct? It is supposed to be synced as soon as your AW connects with your phone - can your iPhone “see” the watch? Perhaps double check that you haven't accidentally disabled Bluetooth or enabled the airplane mode on any of the devices.

Hello @Jana_S  thanks for checking, I’m recording directly from the Strava app on my watch. I leave my phone at home and it has always worked perfectly, I don’t need to press anything to sync them it uploads directly to Strava. Any help? Thanks.

Hi again @Mateorun  - so as I asked earlier: can your iPhone “see” your AW - is the watch connected? Sometimes it happens that the flight mode gets enabled by an accidental tap on the watch or similar. So please let's confirm this first.

Then: when you get to the Strava app’s settings on the watch, do you see any unsynced activities there? Meaning, any number other than zero:

@Jana_S  yes I was able to retrieve some activities using the unsynced button on the Strava app from my Apple Watch. Regarding the iPhone connection with the watch it connects together when I get back within close proximity. Do you know why this may be happening? Thanks for the help!

@Jana_S do you know how to have it auto sync like before? Without having to press the “unsynced” button?

@Mateorun it actually is supposed to work automatically. If it doesn't, the watch probably had a problem with (reliably) connecting to the phone. Or maybe one of the devices was in low power mode. Hard to tell… - try doing a new activity and see whether it synces fine  now, after you've prompted the unsynced activities to upload & “unclogged” the queue 🙂
