I recently noticed a suspicious rider on a leaderboard of segment I did.

I viewed the activity ans the whole ride was suspicious. I reported the ride. The user was set on private. I requested to follow him which was denied.

After some time I noticed some other suspicious segment times of this user. So I decided to investigate further. I found six rides of him. All of those rides are impossible to do even in a car or with a motorbike.

The average speed is quite high with just under 40kmh even on his long rides. His longest one I have found ist around 220km.

The high average speed is Not the most suspicious. His routes go on high traffic roads but he never has to stop or reduce his speed. IT seems as there are no traffic lights or cars for him.

On some rides he was on technical back roads and even some gravel roads. Still the average speed remains high and He can Ride the sharpest corners with more than 40kph. He simply does not have to slow down.

I reported all of the rides I have found of him and reported the user himself. I even created a support ticket. But the user is still present on the leaderboards. It seems nobody at Strava seems to care.

Is this kind of cheating a thing in your region? It seems that this user is just a troll. This user would be a great opportunity for ai learning to detect faked rides.

I know this feeling.  Recentely, I reported two runners who are generating fake activities. I sent images, links that demonstrate the fake activities, and nothing was done.
And the worst part is that I already reported one of the runners to support in the past; they said they would take action, but nothing was done. And now she keeps uploading fake activities.
I feel the same way as you: it’s seems no one in Strava support cares. As long as people keep using the platform and paying, nothing will happen... it's frustrating.
