Dear Strava Community

Thanks to Strava for relaxing third party links in Bios and Posts.

I am owner of a Strava Running Club www.strava.com/clubs/rcucrc, but members are multi-sport. Membership requested that we swap to Multi-sport, but we need Strava to expand multi-sport leader boards to show running, cycling and fitness etc separately.

Our community post for that got rolled into this post: -

  We tried to share this Strava “https” link with the club membership, so they could upvote it, but the club post was blocked with a message ‘try later’.  I discovered if this link was removed, the post uploaded.

Why does Strava block its own “https” links?

Thank you.

Respectfully,

Pierre

@Pierre-L - welcome to the Community Hub!

We checked with out team internally and this should be resolved now - meaning that you can post Community Hub links in Clubs. Let us know if you come across any issues.

@Lola Hi Lola!

So it works - thank you!

I added this link into a club post and it worked for the first time!

Previously, trying to post Strava’s own Community Hub links caused the post to return an error when attempting to save, which was very confusing.  Why? Unlike posting into comments, it didn’t simply delete the ‘unapproved’ link.

It would be great if you could upvote this for us?  It is really important to our club - thank you.  Our original ticket is here which got merged into the one above.

Best wishes

Pierre
