TITLE - Should say commute but I can’t now edit it.

All my walks on Strava can only be tagged as a commute. This also happens to my rides, but not every time. It’s the only option I am ever given when I set the activity type from being blank to commute.

it’s not possible to edit this after it’s been saved either. I still only get the check box for commute.

I’ve seen others say this is due to a connected device, or another app, setting it. However, I don’t have another device at all (just the iPhone I run Strava on) and don’t use any app that’s connected either.

Any ideas?

I’m not sure I can follow. Do you say you can’t uncheck the “commute” checkbox after you set it?

No, it’s that the only option I get it “Commute”, there are no other boxes to tick.

I can untick the commute box, but that just means there’s no type assigned to it. If unticked and I try again I again only have the single option of Commute.

That would be normal for walks, the available tags differ for each sports type. At most you will have commute, race and workout (those are for ride and run) but mostly there is only a subset of that or even no tag at all.

Thanks for letting me know Jan.

It seems a little short sited of Strava to assume people would only walk to commute, rather than exercise. However, at least I now know it’s not some setting I’ve stuffed up.
Thanks 👍😃
